Scope of Works: Beyond the Crusher
While we are known for crushers, our mechanical teams are experienced across the entire processing circuit. We provide end-to-end maintenance for:
Grinding Mills (SAG / Ball / Rod)
- Liner Changes: Safe removal and installation of shell and head liners.
- Trunnion & Drive Works: Inspection and repair of trunnion bearings, girth gears, and pinion assemblies.
- Inching Drives: Maintenance of auxiliary drives and inching systems.
Vibrating Screens & Feeders
- Deck Repairs: Replacement of worn screen media (poly/wire) and stringer rails.
- Exciter Maintenance: Change-out and alignment of exciter gearboxes and drive belts.
- Springs & Isolators: Replacement of suspension springs and rubber buffers to ensure correct stroke.
Conveyors & Material Handling
- Pulleys & Idlers: Change-out of head/tail drums, lagging repairs, and idler frame replacement.
- Belt Maintenance: Tracking adjustments, skirt rubber replacement, and scraper tensioning.
- Drives: Alignment of fluid couplings and gearboxes.
Pumps & Slurry Systems
- Warman/Slurry Pumps: Wet-end rebuilds, throat bush adjustments, and gland seal maintenance.
- Cyclones: Replacement of spigots, vortex finders, and liners.

Planned Shutdowns
We provide fully supervised crews (Fitters, Boilermakers, Riggers) to execute critical path works during major shuts. We bring our own tooling containers and lift plans, ensuring we hit the “Green Button” on time.
Preventative Maintenance (PM)
We execute routine PM services, lubrication, filter changes, and inspections to catch issues before they force an outage.
Breakdown Support
When a critical asset fails, we begin mobilisation immediately. We prioritise getting skilled personnel and resources to site to execute emergency repairs and get you back online as fast as possible.
Condition Monitoring & Reliability
We don’t just fix breakdowns; we help you predict them. SCS utilises condition monitoring techniques to assess asset health without stopping production:
- Vibration Analysis: Detecting early bearing failure or misalignment in screens and crushers.
- Oil Analysis: Monitoring gearboxes for metal filings to predict wear rates.
- Thermography: Identifying hotspots in bearings and electrical drives.
