Orange Workshop Facility (Controlled Environment) Our blasting booth in Orange is equipped to handle large structural steel, heavy earthmoving parts, and machine components.

A blast profile is only good if it’s sealed immediately. SCS provides integrated industrial painting services to lock in the surface quality — single-pack primers, high-build epoxies, and polyurethanes suited for harsh mining and quarry environments. By controlling the entire process, from the initial blast to the final dry film thickness (DFT) check, we ensure your asset is protected against UV, chemical attack, and abrasion.

What is the difference between sandblasting and abrasive blasting?
“Sandblasting” is the traditional term, but modern industry uses “Abrasive Blasting” because we no longer use silica sand (which causes health risks like silicosis). SCS uses safe, inert media like Garnet, Steel Grit, and Shot to achieve a superior result without the health hazards.
Can you blast and paint on site?
Do you handle small jobs or just heavy industrial?
While we specialise in heavy industrial and mining equipment, our Orange workshop can handle commercial jobs like ute trays, trailers, and gates. If it’s steel and needs stripping, we can handle it.
What coating standards do you meet?
We blast and paint to AS/NZS 2312.1 (Guide to the protection of structural steel against atmospheric corrosion). We can meet specifications for environments ranging from mild atmospheric (C2) to severe marine/industrial (C5-M).
